Sail Date: Jul 2017
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony
Traveled with children

We went with our 2 daughters' families - 6 adults and 5 children aged between 18months and 11 years.

Our cabin was very tired with chipped furniture and bathroom. All very clean though.

The 2 older grandchildren had their own cabin with a connecting door to their parents, which worked well. The 3 and 6 year old shared with their parents in a basic outside cabin. The children's' beds pulled down over the main bed so restricted the height above the bed. There were no barriers at the foot or head end of the bunks so a wriggly child could fall.

Very tired.

Port Reviews

Marseille

Castle and Petit Train good. Ship's shuttle at $23 return excessive. Even with 2 people taxi cheaper at 17 euros each way. Taxi for 7 was 35 euros .

Villefranche

Not a lot there but pleasant to walk around. Can go to other places by train but we awnted a lazy day.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Took the boat to Monterosso. Beautiful views of Cinque Terre, but slightly choppy so couldn't stop at all the ports. Came back by train. Good Day.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Good for going to Rome but little else. Just walked the prom. as babysat grandson while rets of family took train to Rome.

Naples

Have spent time in Naples previously so just went for a walk. Noticed there was a bus on the dockside to Pompeii. Only takes 45 minutes. Have been before so didn't go.

Barcelona

Just flew in and boarded ship
