We originally were thinking of a river cruise with Viking. Then we saw on their website that they offered ocean cruises to the Mediterranean. We were sold. We called their customer service division and received more info and the current status of availability. Once we made up our minds the rest was quite easy. We called many times and always had our questions or concerns answered.
We purchased the additional pre-travel package and their guest services even helped us to upgrade to business class for our air travel. The pre-stay hotel at the Hilton Stucky hotel was awesome as the location was less than 10 minutes from St. Marks Square. There is complimentary water taxis that drop you off onto San Marco Isle.
On embarkation day, we were shuttled by a huge water taxi to the pier nearby to meet our Beautiful and I mean Beautiful ship The Viking Sky.
Cabin Review
Perfect size for two of us. Not too big or small. Very comfortable King size bed. Beautiful furnishings, ample closet space. Very spacious bath....loved the shower stall, it was huge.
The balcony was quite big and furnished. Each room had a balcony, which we were told is unheard of on other cruise lines. Nice huge TV on the wall. Very modern look and feel.
Loved it a lot!
