We have always cruised (8 times) on Royal Caribbean and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I chose this cruise because the two previous cruises that we took were small and older ships. This time, we wanted a newer and larger ship. This ship was huge and had so many different and fun neighborhoods, along with dining choices. We brought bottles of wine and made sure that we uncorked it ourselves to avoid paying a $25. cork fee. I will say that there were things that I loved and a few that I missed from my previous cruises. Our embarkment went smoothly and quickly considering all the cruisers boarding at the same time. For the first time, we did self assist to disembark and I will say that I will probably use that method in the future. This was the quickest disembarkation that I have ever experienced. The things that I truly loved and enjoyed was my cabin, dining experiences, and the service. Some things I liked better on the other ships but understood why they didn't have them on this ship was the amount of activity around the pool. Since there were several pools I don't know how they would be able to handle all the activities I was accustomed to seeing. Some activities that were usually at the pool are now handled at the Aqua Theatre instead. There seemed to be only one band at the pool. The fitness and spa center was nice. But, the fitness center did not offer many classes. I did find that keeping up with all the activities sometimes were difficult with our dining time (late seating). You had to eat really quickly or just can the activity. Also most of the evening clubs seemed to be geared towards the 20-30 crowd which was different from my previous experiences. Anyone 40,50 or older were kind of left hanging. I liked the ports and Labadee was quite nice. I did not partake in any excursions, but that is the norm for me. Overall, I truly enjoyed myself and will be cruising the Oasis again next year.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean view with balcony

I loved my cabin and my attendant. There were two of us in the room and I still felt that we had enough space and were quite comfortable. I had heard about there being a problem with the air conditioning in the cabin but we didn't seem to suffer from that issue. I do wish that the television pulled out more so that we could see it in both beds.
