We choose the cruise because of the D Day beach on the agenda. We thought the ship was wonderful, accommodations and food outstanding. We enjoyed the fact that it was a smaller ship and could see the shore throughout the trip. We enjoyed the open seating arrangements as we got to meet many new friends. I took full advantage of the walking track to offset the wonderful food. There were a few nights when the dinner service was slow but courteous. This was the first cruise of the season, so still in a learning curve.

The program director was a fountain of knowledge. I commend his historical knowledge and lectures. The tours were wonderful. It was disappointing to have the union strike delay one visit. Other than that, it was all wonderful. We have already booked another trip based on recommendations from some breakfast companions. We are going on the Rhine Getaway in December.

My husband does not care for ocean cruises, but we are sold on Viking River Cruises and have added many more cruises to our bucket list.

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

It was great. No issues and all the amenities were available. It was all we needed. We don't spend much time in the cabin.
