Our Cruise was a 25th anniversary cruise and a cultural introduction to Europe for my wife while exploring old world architecture, way of life and beauty. The Viking Kara was a very clean elegant ship who's onboard staff catered to your every need while having a sincere smile and great attitude no matter the time of day. They dining experience and food on board was always A++, be it in the formal dining area or casual dining. Our Program director Ria Hurds love for her position shone through each and everyday while having everyone wrapped up in her energy and stories. She made you feel as if she was talking to you directly while prepping you for the days activities or shore excursion. The Shore excursions and Ports of call had something for everone be they old, young, athletic or disabled. The walking tour of bustling Amerstam gave a unique perspective of the city while the windmill tour at the UNESCO World heritage site gave one an appreciation for a bygone day. From old world churches to medieval castles to beer tasting in town to the cuckoo clock making demonstration each and every excursion was a total joy to be involved with. Our Cruise experience was utterly awesome and I highly recommended Viking to anyone and everyone. My wife and I will surely partake in another Viking cruise without hesitation. If our next experience is just half as good as this cruise it will still be a fantastic cruise as my wife and I can't say enough about this cruise, staff, ship or excursions. My wife and I being in our 50's will be Viking Cruise travelers for years to come.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

Beautifully maintained cabin, very comfortable bed, super quiet with no motion detectable. Modern Bathroom with ample room luxurious bath products with large printing readable by seniors. Step in Shower had great water pressure ample room for this 6'3" 280lb frame. Opening shower doors gave even more room in the bathroom if desire. Close proximity to the library, bar and upper level was a bonus.
