We had so been looking forward to the Baltic Sea cruise. We usually travelled Holland America but had heard such good things about Celebrity, we gave it a try. The ship is beautiful, even though it needs some refurbishing and the greeting was wonderful. There was a bottle of wine from our travel agent on the desk. Our cabin was nice although the carpet a bed cover were in dire need of replacing. There were 2 lumpy pillows on the bed. I asked if we could have some down pillows, we were told no. We have always been able to get down pillows on HAL. The bathroom smelled. The steward did call a plumber who cleaned the shower drain and the smell went away for 2 days but then it returned. They painted the walls on our veranda and accidentally got paint on the varnished railing. When we returned from our tour, my hubby didn't see the paint and leaned on it with his only jacket. We called to get the paint removed from his jacket and got a hassle. Finally they cleaned it and gave us a bottle of wine. They then charged us for the bottle of wine they gave us and they also charged us for the wine our travel agent had given us. They did not stop people from smoking on their verandas nor did they stop the kids from running up and down the halls late at night. The food was excellent, our waiter was excellent as were our cabin stewards.
