We were invited to come on this cruise while we were on an earlier cruise. It sounded like a great idea, so we signed up and were more than thoroughly delighted!
The ship was so great that this was our second cruise on her. We've now signed up for a third cruise on her next winter. Our cabin was very nice, the dining never failed to be excellent, the service was of course first-rate, the entertainment and activities were fun, and the ports were fascinating. We'd never been to any of those ports, had always wanted to go to all of them, and were very glad we did so!
It's hard to pick just one activity that stood out, but the scotch whiskey tasting was a favorite among the gentlemen in our group. As far as excursions went, they were all fascinating, and they were generally very well organized. Our favorite port turned out to be Barcelona, which was so wonderful that we could have stayed there a week. The other Spanish ports and Madeira all were very appealing. Casablanca was enjoyable, though I don't think we would beat a hasty path back; the Spanish ports were better.
A very nice cabin on the fifth deck, which had better views than our previous cabin on the third deck. Otherwise, it was the same -- a comfortable and fairly roomy Deluxe Veranda cabin, which didn't tire us during the entire 15 day cruise.
A very interesting place, and glad to have seen it. The mosque was incredible, and the residential areas were beautiful. We were left a little too long in the shopping area, and some other cruisers had to wait several hours for a bus returning to the ship; we didn't have to wait that long.
Thoroughly enjoyed this historic city and would return happily.
Even better than Cadiz!
