We had sailed on Viking Rhine River cruise and loved it and were intrigued by the ads for the Viking Ocean itineraries. The ship was fabulous, it was truly the nicest ship we had ever sailed . It was wonderful.Food was excellent, although the Chef Table could use a better ways of serving...we felt very rushed, as our wine glasses kept adding up on our table, while we were eating. A restaurant fashioned like this needed to slow down between courses.

But my biggest complaint was the lack of time in each port.We would have been better off having on or two less ports, and spending longer days or more overnights in the others.

In our itinerary, if we didn't go to Coruna, which basically a waste, we could have spent more time in Portugal.

Port Reviews

La Coruna

Tour guide was good but it was a wasted day

Cherbourg

Best day of our trip!

We had an outstanding tour guide who took us to the landing beaches and we had an entire long day there without rushing through!

Le Havre

We took a taxi to Honfleur and had a brief look around lovely town and had lunch and some wine there. Again we wish we could have spent longer there?.at least until the shops opened after lunch!
