Recommendation from friend, Nice itinerary. Did not feel like we where in a top cruise. I prefer by far the treatment received at other luxury cruises (Seabourne is great). Ship was beautiful, food great (though sometimes extremely slow, once we had to wait 1 hour between our soup and main dish at Indochine, The waiter was very ashamed of the situation but that is not an excuse.) There seemed to be a lot of excuses actually, like that the ship was new, that should not be an excuse. Lots of guest had complaints, one even talked about sending a letter with his attorney (a little excessive for my taste, but he had a plumbing problem so how could I know his experience.) Service at the pool terrible, Nobody was capable of spreading a towel on our daybeds, which is expected at luxury hotels and cruises. This is nos Carnival... The food was great, the wine was great, the boat beautiful, but it is really a shame that the service was so bad. Its not even an issue of attitude (other that the pool), it seems to be an issue of motivation, training, supervision or something like that.

We stayed in a large room (Silver Suite), so you would expect that they pay the same or better attention to us, but sometimes it even seemed that because we where young, they seemed to be less interested in us (My wife and I are 32).

Jacuzzi stopped working, we reported it, supposedly fixed, but never worked again, got tired of reporting it. Read more
