We (3 adults in our late 20’s and early 30’s) chose this cruise because of the ports, the price, and the offerings on the ship. My husband and our friend had not cruised before and I had only cruised once, about 15 years ago as a teenager on a different cruise line.

We drove down to FL from NC and stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton the night before the cruise because they provided free continental breakfast, free long-term parking, and a shuttle ride to the cruise terminal. We took the first shuttle to the terminal the morning of the cruise at 9:45am. We arrived at the terminal and went through security (similar to the airport - you walk through a metal detector and put your luggage through a bag checker). They check your passport and your license and give you your SeaPass cards and a group number for boarding. We were in the second group (after the VIP people, wedding group, etc.) We boarded the ship around 11am and it was pretty easy. We went to the pool area and got to swim (and find out it was a saltwater pool!) and got to go in the hot tub, too. It was nice to not have it be super crowded. We ate lunch around 12:30 or 1 and by the time we were done, our stateroom was ready and we got to go explore that.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F1

The mattress was fairly comfy and I slept extremely well every single night (which is pretty unusual for me when I travel.) The pillows were great (not the feathery grossness that hotels provide that I'm allergic to, so I was happy about that! I considered bringing my own pillow, but it wasn't necessary.)

The Pullman bed hung over part of our double bed, but it was fine. It didn't feel claustrophobic or anything like I thought it would.

The bathroom was a little bigger than I expected, which was nice, but like reviews said that I had read prior to cruising, it lacked any outlets.

There were 2 outlets near the desk/vanity area, so if you need more than that, you may want to bring another outlet to plugin and give you more options. We did and didn't have any trouble with it. It worked very well.

The window was very streaky which made it kind of hard to see out of (we wiped down the inside part with a Wet Wipe just in case.) Hopefully they'll clean the outside windows at some point.

The room was nice overall and our housekeeper, Russell, was great!

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We drove to Orlando for a family event prior to going on the cruise. The Port Canveral area was very nice and we had a lovely dinner the night before the cruise at Milliken's Reef. They had outdoor seating on the water, a live band, and tasty food.

Nassau

Nassau was fun but required a lot of walking (it was hot and sunny!) The places we went: Junkanoo Beach, Graycliff Chocolate Factory, and the Straw Market were not particularly close to one another, even though we were under the impression they would be. The beach was nice (go early before it gets crowded!), the chocolate factory was a little disappointing, and the ladies at the Straw Market were a little pushy. Be sure you bring your passport or ID in addition to your SeaPass card to this port!
