Our travel agent had been on this cruise and rated it the best. Knowing that the one off payment covered everything once on board ship took out any stress about off shore excursions, tipping and different exchange rates. Only needed small amount of change for toilets in town. Free toilets were always available at organised tour events.
The offshore excursions arranged by Scenic were varied and provided wonderful musical experiences from the different areas we visited. The Octoberfest and Sound of music lunch and show are exclusive to Scenic tours. Each outing was accompanied by an experienced guide giving extremely detailed information about the place we were visiting and the history going back to Roman times.
Alexander our very experienced cruise director was always patient, cheerful, interesting and extremely well organised , Some of the crew expressed their multi talents by providing us with musical entertainment on our last night which was a real treat.
Cabin Review
Well designed cabin, very comfortable bed. Nice to be able to sit on balcony. Ànd enjoy scenery. Great shower, everything extremely clean and well serviced. Just found Rick Steves DVDs on Europe which were lovely to watch while I ate my meal alone in cabin when I came down with a cold and tried to isolate myself from other passengers. Nino our butler made a special tea to aid my recovery which was really appreciated..I should have taken Bucceline cold protection a month before we left home and hopefully would have avoided a cold.
