Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

When we booked our cruise we were assigned a cabin on the ninth deck. We received an email about bidding on an upgrade. So I decided that I would put in a very low bid and see what happened. To my surprise a $50 bid got us an upgrade to a mini suite. The saying too good to be true now comes to mind. From about 6 AM to 11 PM the Garden Café is serving buffet to lots and lots and lots of hungry passengers on the 12th deck. Every time someone moves a chair it can be heard in the mini suite below. We were in cabin 11652 which is absolutely beautiful and spacious but if you like to sleep past 6 AM forget it. Aside from that the housekeeping was spectacular as usual and I think those in housekeeping are the hardest working people on the ship. The food was spectacular and the waitstaff amazing. We wish we had known that even with the beverage package we would be charged taxes while in US waters. My daughter had some homework to do and was in the Internet café. The Wi-Fi went down and she lost all of her work. So we explained that to the Internet café manager who very rudely asked her to prove that there was no Wi-Fi while she was on. We were billed for 57 minutes of useless Internet time. This was our third cruise and probably our last.
