This was my first ever cruise so I do not have any reference to another ship.
The ship to me was in great shape, everything was clean and new looking. The crew was fantastic always smiling and very helpful. they all seemed to remember our names and what we needed. See my Cabin Review for my thoughts on the cabin.
The food options to me where very good. I am not a foodie so i am not going to complain about the food options I enjoyed them all. The Lido market was fine lots of options, i liked the English breakfast they had including baked beans and black pudding, We ate on time at the pinnacle and it was very good the service was great. had one meal at the Italian restaurant and the food was good. MDR was good every night I have no complaints.

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
I have to say I was totally impressed with the cabin. Tons of Storage space very modern looking, The TV was great a nice 55 inch TV on the wall with lots of movie options and live TV stations, MSNBC, FOX, CNBC and BBC new. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and was not big but plenty of room. The bed was really good very comfortable and even had USB ports on the side. The desk was small but worked. plenty of power and USB ports there too. The veranda was plenty big and had what looked like new chairs with foot rests and a small table..
