We had originally booked Equinox, but she was deployed to the Carribean. Having travelled on Reflection last year, we were perfectly happy to cruise on Reflection again. Embarkation was so relaxed - flew from Dublin at 06.20 and were in our stateroom at 12.30 Italian time.
Staff on board are so friendly and welcoming. We dined in Blu for the entire cruise. The excellent food and wine was served with great attention and fun by Zaza, Amit and Allan. The professionalism of Blu staff is characterised by the Maitre d' and his entire staff. A perfect place to get to know our fellow guests from so many different countries. Lunch and the occasional breakfast in Oceanview offer such a wide variety, that it is impossible not to find something to suit one's palate - and the burgers in Mast Grill are to die for.
Took 2 ship's excursions to Florence and Nice/Monaco- led by 2 very knowledgeable tour guides. It is perfectly possible to do Barcelona, Carthagena, Eivissa, Malaga and Gibralter on your own. Just involves a lttle bit of pre-cruise research. All ports have hop on, hop off busses.
Beautifully appointed quiet stateroom-plenty of storage space and hangers. Room was serviced excellently by the ever smiling Flaviano twice daily, with toiletries replenished twice a day.Thick fluffy towels and bathrobes. Bed turned down. Welcome bottle of Champagne, canapes and fruit served on a daily basis. Big balcony.Perfect for relaxation.
