We did the MSC Divina cruise on Yacht club. And to be quite honest that must be almost the only way to survive the MSC experience. The YC restaurant Le Muse was a disappointment. Would we make another MSC cruise? Probably if the price and route would be better than the other offers at that time. Compared to for example NCL Haven the prices are reasonable and some parts of the package even better.

Check-in, embarkation, safety drill

Yacht club tent was easy for the taxi to find and they took our luggages. After gathering a small group the butler took us to the lounge. That was really worth the service while the normal entrance seemed to be quite crowded already at 11 o´clock. In the lounge we were seated and had to wait our turn to the check-in counter. That took surprisingly long. There was though champagne and water or juice to have. After the check-in we had to wait again before the butler gathered a small group to take to the ship. He though forgot us and if we had not noticed some people disappearing and having not run after the unfriendly butler we would have ended waiting even longer. The normal embarkation had started and that seemed to be a nightmare. To get onboard the ship photographers blocked the way – you just couldn´t walk through. We don´t want our pictures taken but still had to wait. This seemed to make the whole process of getting in the ship very slowly. When more waiting in the Top Sail Lounge. They just said that the butler will take us to our cabin when it is ready but no information if this is going to take 5 minutes or an hour. It took 15 minutes. Totally this ended to be one of the longest embarkation procedures ever with 90 minutes.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We took a taxi to the Palm Beach Club. The chairs and umbrellas are rather expensive but otherwise all right.

Cozumel

We took a taxi to Paradise Beach Club. That was nice and cheap. The water and the beach itself is not swimming friendly.

Ocho Rios

We have seen the waterfalls and other attractions and just stayed in the "town". Not too much to see there.

Nassau

On of the most boring ports in the Caribbean. Atlantis is too crowded and expensive. Just walked in town for an hour.
