My dh and I have traveled on 4 cruise in the past 5 years. We have gone on rcl, princess and 2 on carnival. This was our 2nd on carnival. We left Chicago the day before the cruise and flew into Ft Lauderdale. Once we got to FL we got a cab to the hotel and got overcharged by the cab driver who took $20.00 from us without turning on his meter, but we paid just so we could get into the hotel. We stayed at the Embassy ste and the room was ready early which was nice. It is the only nice thing I could say about this hotel I would not stay there again, just didn't like it.

The next morning we got to the port about 10.45 and we were on the ship by 11.20. We had vip boarding so things went very fast. Had lunch very good and at 1.30 went to our room.

We had a Cat 11 on the empress deck. What a great cabin this was. It was large with a great bathroom. The room steward was wonderful the whole cruise.

Cabin Review

The cabin was great. It had a great balcony, quiet location, wonderful space and the best bathroom I have ever had on a ship. The cat 11 is worth the extra money
