We chose the Sky because it was stopping in Havana overnight and we thought we should get to Cuba while we still can. It's been on our bucket list for a while so we decided to go for it. We are glad we did! After a dozen cruises, this is my first all inclusive. There was a nice mix of people too: ages, cultures, languages, sizes (families to singles), and no one was out of control or drunk or loud. This short, four-night itinerary was just right for this time of year as it is really hot and humid in the Caribbean. We arrived the night before and stayed at the La Quinta Airport East hotel which has a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel (until 11 p.m. anyway) and a free shuttle from the hotel to the port. We're the clientele they cater to (cruisers) and it works well. All we needed was a place to sleep, and it was fine. No hotels are cheap in Miami but at $113, we felt it was a bargain. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express, but that was quite a bit more expensive.

Ship and cabin: Embarkation was a breeze. Easy to check in if you have all your papers, etc. You needed a visa to get into Cuba ($75 each) and one other form besides the short health survey. It was not clear how to get the visa, so I ended up calling NCL and I guess that's the way you have to do it. I wish they would have been more clear about that.

It's always exciting to get on the ship and have lunch and anticipate the cruise ahead. We sailed away at 5 p.m. and enjoyed a nice dinner later in the evening. We had an inside cabin (9107) and it was fine as we were just sleeping there. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was cool, and the shower was great. The ship is clean and refurbished. Nothing looks tired or worn. The crew was friendly and helpful.

Small but comfortable and everything we needed. It's easy to sleep in an inside cabin, that's for sure. Best shower of any cabin we have had! Clean and plenty of storage.
