Our debarkation in Copenhagen was very easy. We were there at our assigned time spending the night before at the Admiral Hotel (which I highly recommend). We were on the ship in no time.
We selected a junior suite and loved the extra space and the curtain between the bed and sitting area. With such a port intensive cruise, one of us was usually resting. I also enjoyed the bathtub. What a great private place to soak just about every evening. We selected anytime dining and it worked out great after the first night. This evening we stood in line with 3 other couples for more than 45 minutes (or maybe an hour). The dining rooms close at 10 PM sharp and after the wait, it was close to 9 PM. Finally some 'suit' (didn't introduce himself) led us down a flight of stairs through the ship and up another flight of stairs. Yes, really! Then he sat us at 4 tables for 2 at the fixed time restaurant. Food came fast (I'm sure the staff wanted to clean up and leave by 10). The remaining dinners were fine. The steak restaurant was awesome!
-We ate on Lido one night and that was fine too.
I really don't remember the category. MC just sounded good. Our cabin was forward on Lido-easy food access. We liked that it was very quiet and little foot traffic. I really liked the drapes between the bed and living area and we used it frequently while in the room. The balcony was quite small but we enjoyed what we had. The bathroom was great! Love that tub. I like the dressing area and closets-well thought out.
Took a great walking tour of Helsinki. It's much more westernized than I expected. The city is very walk-able and lots of fun.
This is a great company to have a private tour with. The days were very long and we learned so much-and a lot of it were things that bus tours could not possibly experience. If you're traveling all the way to St. Petersburg, it's worth taking a private tour.
We stayed near the port in Rostat. It was fun riding the train about a half hour. Loved the city. Great architecture and shopping.
