My mom was turning 75 this year and I thought this would be an excellent way for her and I to celebrate! Being a first time cruiser - I read a ton of information and reviews. Decided on Princess as our cruise line and then debated between Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm Fjord. I am so glad that I chose Glacier Bay - it did not disappoint!

This being our very first cruise, we had no idea of what to expect or what to do. I booked cruise, flight, hotel through a travel agent to make my life easier. I'm glad that I did. We were scheduled to fly out of NY to Seattle the Friday evening before our cruise departure of Saturday. I knew we would be tired arriving Seattle time after midnight but unfortunately I had to work on Friday. I learned my first important lesson - say yes to travel insurance and do not book last flight out! Our flight was cancelled due to weather. Thankfully our travel agent was able to get us on a 5:15am flight Saturday.

When we arrived in Seattle and went to baggage claim we immediately encountered numerous Princess cruise personnel wearing red vests. They made the process so easy! They took our luggage for us and got us checked in for transportation to our ship. Motor coach ride to the port and we began the embarkation process. Again there were so many Princess representatives to help us on our way and explain/get us to our next steps. We were able to board early (around 11:30, 12:00 or so) and make our way to our room.
