We have cruised on RCI, Princess, NCL, Azamara, Cunard and Carnival many times. This cruise we wanted to see the French Riviera and Italy. We chose the Freedom of the Seas out of Barcelona due to its outstanding itinerary.

Embarkation in Barcelona was incredibly smooth and fast and we were on the boat within 20 minutes of arrival at the terminal.

The waiter at our table learned our names the first evening and remembered drink and favorite appetizer selections every night. He made sure escargot was delivered without asking every night and his assistant kept our favorite drink classes full. The first meal was outstanding and out table joke was this was to make a good impression but wait until the next night. Well the next night and every night thereafter the meal was even better than the first. The Freedom of the Seas Chef prepares and excellent menu with great flavor and served hot every time. The Windjammer café had an amazing selection of foods for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's layout makes it easy to get around and select exactly what you want. I talked to the chef and he said he was always tweaking the recipes to get the most flavor out of each dish. Views from this 11th floor dining area are outstanding.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Our cabin was slightly aft of mid-ship and was configured with the most comfortable King size bed I've ever slept on. Even with the large bed the cabin had plenty of room.

We selected the early seating dining to allow time to view the shows and other evening activities.
