I was on the ill-fated re-positioning cruise from Miami to Copenhagen...We had been at sea for 6 days and looking forward to getting off at The Azores...Alas, weather did not permit our docking...Of course the captain cancelled the stop an hour before we were supposed to dock leaving me to believe he didn't even try...So 3 days later, we arrived at Brest...We stood in a line to disembark that spanned the length of the ship for 2 hours...Nobody would tell us why it was taking so long (a lot of people bailed out of the line) until we saw the 5 ft. wide gangplank to get 4000 people off and on the ship...We ended up only having 2 hours in Brest (no time to see museums, shopping, etc) because there was a 2 hour line to get back on the ship...The propeller got damaged in the Brest dock and we had to go half speed to our next stop, Southampton...We arrived 5 hours late and it took 4 hours in line to get off the ship...Since NCL did not have any British pounds to exchange (after I waited in line for 30 min plus at Customer Service), we were in Southampton with no money after 5 (too late to see the Titanic museum)...One pastry shop wouldn't take credit cards but let us use their wifi anyway...We didn't leave Southampton until midnight because of the repairs so they cancelled Zeebrugge (let me just note that the Azores and Belgium were the reasons I picked this cruise because I'd never been to either one)...I waited in line for entertainment, customer service, and on the phone for TV and safe issues...The only thing good about the cruise were the employees...Our cabin steward, Rod, was exceptional! NCL offered a paltry $100 onboard credit for basically missing 2 ports and 2 ports with 2 hours apiece...Also, bring your own books...The Library was small, never had any hours posted for the Librarian and when she was there, the books were quickly checked out...One small cabinet (for 4000 people) for "take one/leave one" books...I will never have the money again to see The Azores or Belgium and because of NCL, I guess I never will see them

Not Norwegian "Getaway" but Norwegian "Get in Line"
