Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

We chose this cruise because of the ports and it being close to home. We have mostly cruised on the monster ships, including the Epic. I was surprised about the Norwegian Spirit. It was very nice. The ship has a unique feel that is different from other ships in the Norwegian fleet.

That aside, there were a couple of things that we found lacking. The toilets sometimes had a delay between pushing the button to flush and the actual flushing. We mentioned this while on board and they tried to correct it, but it was never really sorted.

We also had problems with the internet connection while in ports. We have NEVER experienced such problems; the ship internet manager blamed it on Italian authorities blocking satellite signals. I don't know what was true...but they gave us credit on our unlimited package.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Cabin was smaller than the newer ships. We had a balcony and that was really small...we didn't use it once. The cabin itself was comfortable, but nothing too flashy or modern. There was some rust in the corners in the bathroom....but that doesn't bother us too much.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

nice small port. We started here...Was nice to walk around and explore.
