The reason I'm giving an average rating is due more to the excursion experiences than the actual ship experience. The biggest negative on board was the pool didn't have a nice slide for adults and kids to enjoy the pool and it was a small pool. The on-board experience deserved a 4 or 5.We chose this Royal Caribbean Cruise because of the availability, price and recommendations of friends. We stayed in the Family Suite and we received some additional perks like priority boarding, disembarking, etc. which was really nice. The suite itself was a decent size but because of it's location it tended to get very warm. The ship is older and the air conditioning probably needs to be updated.

Staff: On-board staff were very friendly and accommodating. Domingo our head waiter and Joni, our stateroom attendant were awesome. The food was really good in the main dining rooms. The Buffets were good - the quality wasn't as good as the main dining room.

Entertainment: The headliner shows were really fun. My family especially liked the Magic and Comedy show with Chad Chesmark and the comedy shows of Lucas Bohn. Other entertainment included music and the performers were good, but average. The game shows were fun to watch, although the Love & Marriage show didn't say it was for adults, the content was definitely more adult geared than for children under 15. We liked doing the trivia games too.

Cabin Review

Royal Family Suite

Cabin FS

The cabin was clean and large enough to comfortably fit our family of 5. Although the photos I have seen posted made the room appear larger than it was. The air conditioning wasn't working that well in our room, and I think that is due to the location. The room was on the 10th floor next to elevators and right off the stairs. So, warm air filtered in from the pool deck on 11 to the 10th floor. We called twice about the air conditioning, and they responded quickly. The second time it did seem to make a small improvement. This was our first cruise in over 17 years, and our first Royal Caribbean cruise, so I'm not sure how to compare the sizing to other cruise ships. The bathrooms were small, but we did have 2 bathrooms in our stateroom which was a plus.
