Sail Date: Jul 2017

We travelled on Oceana as she was going to the ports we were interested in calling at, especially Corfu where we have enjoyed the Boat Trip and Swim excursion before. However, this ship is now in a poor state and I do not mean just decoration/furnishings (which I understand are being renewed in November). We were barely able to open/close the sliding door on our balcony due to dirt being allowed to build up in the runners which meant you had to push the door with all your might in order to open it. Also the rust that has gone unchecked was very apparent at the top and bottom of the door frames. We found the food being offered in the buffet (we chose Freedom dining) just did not go together, ie curry with no rice one evening and jerked chicken on bar-b-que night with no fries, just a dish with a few over-cooked wedges or mash. The desserts, although looking very pretty, were absolutely tasteless. The Catering Manager needs to sit down with the chefs and come up with food that not only looks nice but tastes nice too which is something that just is not happening in the buffet on Oceana.

Cabin Review

Cabin HA/Balcony Mid/mid-aft

The cabin was kept very clean by our steward. However, the shower was extremely small and hardly room to turn around in.
