Public areas very small for the number of guests onboard. Coffee shop area far too small. Hard to find seating to sit and relax. Promenade deck too narrow so there was no room for deck chairs. This is something that is really missing on a long cruise with lots of sea days. Ship staff didn't seem to be able to handle large numbers of people at once, so getting off and return to the ship took quite a while with long queues. Even though the cruise was originally advertised as the 'circle cruise' after we boarded it was treated as sector cruises. Final disembarkation was a total stuff up the staff had to personally write down the names of the people when they tried to log off the ship as some one had removed all the names from the database. Never ever experienced this before. Would never cruise on the Golden Princess again.
We went on the ship for the ports of call and we did thoroughly enjoy our time in all the ports - just not the extended time queuing to get off & on. At one time the queuing was so bad one of our tours was shortened, which was disappointing as it was a port we hadn't been to before.
Good cabin, well situated for deck & lift access. Balcony had a roof. Lots of cabins below had open deck with no cover.
