EMBARKATION:

Boarded the ship at Port Canaveral. Embarkation was fairly slow. Lines were very long and the majority of the wait was lined up outside the terminal, in 90+ degree FL summer heat with no a/c and no fans. Not a fun way to start what was supposed to be a relaxing mini-vacation. Once on board, although all in my party pre-purchased the Cheers beverage package, the bartender told two of us that we didn't have the package. After a few moments she returned and said there was a mistake, we actually did have the package. ? We had to wait while she made the correction to our accounts.

SHIP/CABIN: The ship was not as well maintained as other ships I've been on recently. The crew seemed to be spread very thin, but were doing their best to accommodate all the passengers. No crew member I came across seemed to be happy at all, anywhere. They did refer to us by our first names, however it seemed quite "forced". The cabin was standard - although I paid significantly more for an extended aft-balcony wraparound cabin, it was money wasted as the balcony was dirty to the point of being unusable for the first two days of the cruise. I had to ask three times for someone to clean it, as there were CIGARETTE butts, literally bits of food and bird poop all over it and the loungers and chairs/tables on the balcony. The rest of the public areas on board were unclean, too. Tables were not regularly wiped down between guests, bathrooms near the main pool were literally disgusting, dirty dishes stacked up in the common areas. I found it very odd on this ship that rarely did we see crew walking around serving the guests, instead the guests had to approach the crew members behind their counters or wherever they were.
