It was a large family getaway. 12 adults and 7 kids and pretty much a complete disappointment. The ship's refit was incomplete. Nice bathrooms but old bedroom furnishings. The type of food offering was decent but the preparation was lacking, so don't expect 5 star; maybe 2 star at best. As for the "shows", they managed to coerce the crew to perform on stage. They may be good their jobs, but singing and dancing was not part of it. There was no entertainment to speak of, unless you consider the crew performing entertaining.

There were very few activities available for people that were not casino bound.

If you're already spending this kind of money, spend it on a real cruise line like Celebrity, Royal Caribbean or Princess. At least with these cruise ships going into Alaska, you will be entertained, fed well and at least feel that your money was well spent.
