We were visiting family in Pensacola and decided to fit a cruise in to our vacation, so booked the Fantasy out of Mobile. This was our second cruise on the Fantasy; the first was three years ago out of Charleston. Since the first cruise, Fantasy has received the 2.0 upgrades, including Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana.

Embarkation: This may have been the most frustrating part of the entire cruise. The line to get into the parking area was so long it was backed up onto Interstate 10 and it seemed to move very slowly. We were being dropped off by a family member so didn't even need to park, but still had to stay in that one line. Our boarding time was 11:00-11:30. We got to the port and got in the parking line at about 10:50. We reached the front of the line about 45 minutes later.

Ship and Cabin - The ship is old but in pretty good shape. We stayed in Cabin U230, which is an ocean view on Deck 7 at the rear of the ship. The cabin was clean and comfortable and everything was in working order. My daughter liked that the there was a large ledge around the window that she used as a window seat! I had heard that due to the location this cabin would be loud during porting, but I didn't notice a lot of noise...other than the very talkative family in the cabin next door. The walls seemed to be very thin and we could hear everything they said.
