I have been on 7 cruises including 1 Norwegian, 1 Princess, and 5 royal Caribbean (Brilliance twice, Enchantment, Liberty, Allure) so I have a lot to compare it to. we stayed at the Hyatt on 17th street and it was a cute little hotel. They had a free shuttle from FLL airport and a $7 per person shuttle to the cruise terminal. I would recommend taking an uber instead as it would be cheaper! Embarkation was a little disappointing as i am a platinum member and they usually have refreshments for you in your waiting area however they didnt this time! It was just a small waiting area with airport style seating. Getting on board first was really good though! Head for the food first before it gets busy! Rooms open at 1pm so dont carry on too much stuff as you will need to carry it with you. They literally block the rooms off until 1pm. Boarding starts at 11am. Let me start off saying this ship is absolutely AMAZING!!! It is such a massive ship however it really never felt busy. You notice how busy it is on the first day only when everyone is boarding and haven't gotten access to their rooms yet. I went with my now fiance just the two of us as a young couple and we had a Superior Ocean View Balcony room on the 8th deck aft close to Dazzles. It was perfect size for the two of us and perfect location!

The ship itself always had so much to do such as the rock wall, zip lining, aquatheatre, ice rink, the theatre, casino, the boardwalk, central park, mini golf, the multiple pools, and the flow riders. The only line we ever encountered with the activities was the flow riders which was typically a 30-45 min wait. They give you a good turn however so its time well spent in line if thats something you want to try. I would recommend to go during the evening hours for specific age groups (kids, teens, and adults) as the lines are much shorter and you get more attention on the flow rider. These times you can find by the waiver desk onboard or in your cruise compass.

Our favorite part of the ship would have to be beautiful Central Park. Since our cabin was on deck 8 aft we were literally right beside central park and we used it as a perfect walk way from one end of the ship to the other. The music changes from birds chirping to crickets from day to night and its just magical! That is where the majority the specialty restaurants were. We did all the activities on board and the staff were amazing! we felt safe and well taken care of especially with the more daring activities.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

Our cabin was a Superior Ocean View on deck 8 aft right beside dazzles. It was an excellent location as Central Park is right there which gets you to the very back of the ship, and the elevators are right there too. The windjammer and most activities like flow rider are also located at the aft so if food is important to you stay by these elevators as it brings you to the door of the Windjammer! It was quiet and you couldn't hear the lounge or the elevators at all.

Size wise it was perfect for two people. There is a lot of storage and the suitcases fit perfectly under the bed! The bathroom was a great size too and so was the shower. Our stateroom attendant was amazing and the room was always perfectly clean and he was so friendly! He knew our names before he met us! It has a flat screen tv and a i pod dock with alarm clock, a telephone, hair dryer, soap, and shampoo in the shower. BRING CONDITIONER if your hair needs it!

The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well and the air conditioner you can set how you like. The balcony was also a great size! It came with two chairs and a table where you can bring food back to your room and eat on the balcony.

I was surprised because my mother secretly set up the birthday decoration package though the website! We had two large hanging decorations over the bed, a large door decal, a mirror decal, and a picture frame with card. It was so fun! We also had the sprite and absolute vodka package which had a small bottle to drink in your own room which was great!
