This may be the best ship in the Carnival fleet, but it still has it's shortfalls. For a ship that just came out of drydock, there seemed to be quite a bit of small items that needed fixing, like stair skids. Why were they not all new?

Some of the lay out was unusual, like the adults only Serenity area. It was just forward of the water slides. How quiet could that be?

Dinning: Why are so few venues open? Guy's Burgers from noon to 6. Tacos and burritos for breakfast and lunch. Bar b que on sea days only. The Lido buffet is not very good & the lines are long. Rather than multiple stations, everyone ques through 1 line, unless you want a special such as omelettes at breakfast or stir fry at lunch. At 3:30, your option is pizza or a sandwich. No salad or cookies. Overall, the Lido buffet was weak. The variety and quality both need improvement . You also were your own beverage service. No refills either by the staff or yourself. Each time you want a second drink, you get up and get one. Don't expect good pizza on this ship either. They use very little sauce , toppings, or cheese. The crust is usually over cooked . All this and a long wait in line! This was the worst run area on the ship. Stick with the burgers, tacos, and bar b que.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

There seems to be a lot more cabin noise than I expected on a newer ship. Can they not insulate the walls sufficiently to stop the television sound? I seem to hear doors and balcony noise from a whole area, not just adjacent rooms and floors. The vents in the bottom of your cabin door allows much hall noise in. This is particularly annoying when you try to sleep before the atrium entertainment is done at night. Avoid any room within 15 doors of the forward atrium if you are either a light sleeper or an early to bed cruiser. It is impossible to sleep on certain nights.
