We chose this cruise because we had sailed North from Nuremberg last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to sail South from Nuremberg this year.
The start was a total disaster. We arrived on time at Munich and followed the meeting instructions> No-one there to meet us .Fortunately, two other passengers were on the same flight so we knew that we were in the right place. After waiting for thirty minutes we were joined by another passenger from the Amsterdam flight. Still no sign of Scenic so one of our fellow passengers decided to ask someone who was behaving like a rep if he was from Scenic – no he wasn’t but would try to help us.
By this time, we were numbering eleven of us. Between us we rang Scenic HQ, Scenic UK, Scenic emergency number and the transport company number provided by Scenic in their pack. None of the Scenic numbers responded and the transport company declared that they had no arrangements with Scenic on that day.
The cabin that we had were so noisy. We had engine noise all night and often in the night the bed would shake with the vibration from the engines. Our friends decided that, although Scenic had said that the ship was full, they managed to move to midship where they had no noise. We stuck it out to the end and, once we were on the Danube without any locks, it seemed to be a bit better.
