Ship is really worn down. Chairs in dining room are in very bad shape. Many stains on all chairs in entire ship. Methane gas smell in rooms, On level 5 promade going into theatre area. smelled it in hall ways too. Carps are very worn. Dining room staff was average at best. However the pub on level five was wonderful. Speciality coffee guy was very rude to a lot of people. We had the deluxe drink package and would get a coffee every morning, The guy just wouldn't smile. I guess he was made at people not tipping him extra. The tips are included in the drink package. That drink package is very costly and I felt no need to tip extra for a very unhappy person that clearly didnt like his job. The bar tenders were great in the pub on Level five. Mo was so great. Always smiling and calling us by name. Wish we could have a hundred MO's on the ship. All of the bar tenders were very friendly and that's really nice to see then you spend so much money on your cruise. We still love Royal Caribbean and in no way think this is a trend on all ships. I just wish that they would consider redoing the Independence of the Seas because it is very worn out. We look forward to our next cruise on the Harmony.
