We are long-time Princess cruisers but wanted a quick get-a-away cruise from our home port in South Florida, which Princess does not service in the summer. We found this cruise, only our second in 18 years on Celebrity, which turned out to be just wonderful.

I should add that we enjoyed our first cruise with Celebrity - a memorable cruise from NYC to Bermuda in 1999 aboard the Zenith. We regularly sail on Princess due to the proximity to Fort Lauderdale for us and the loyalty program (we're Elite). But back to the Equinox.

Departure was smooth from the Miami port, we're are very familiar with and comfortable in Miami. Entry aboard was very pleasant, we waited briefly in the Passport bar on 3 until lunch in the beautiful Silhouette DR, a perk for our Concierge level booking.

Port Reviews

Miami

We love Miami and the extar half-hour drive from usual Port Everglades was not a problem. We parked at the port - expensive, but very convenient.

Key West

Too hot!
