We chose this cruise for the port stops. Although we were unable to make the first stop in Guernsey due to the winds and spent the first night docked in Southampton. We did not do any tours booked thru Princess. We booked our stops ahead of time and were very pleased with the tours. The ship was newly refurbished and the new eating venues were brighter.
The nightly shows were packed so it was a good idea to get there no later than 25 minutes ahead of time.
I would highly recommend this cruise. The last stop and the tour to Normandy was the highlight of the trip. Also the weather was sunny and warm in France. In the northern area of Scotland it was still light at 11:30 pm and many were outside walking. Only a few people braved the cooler weather for the outside movies and popcorn. During the day the pool area was empty.
Obstructed oceanview. It was perfect for the British Isles trip as the weather was damp and windy so a balcony would not have been useful. We could see out over the lifeboat to view the distance , weather etc. The room was comfortable and I would stay in it again.
