First the port - Baltimore - It was very easy to get to and they even unload your car for you. Very Nice.
The Pride - This is an OLD ship. It needs some serious refurbishing. It does not flow well and there seems to be a lot of wasted space that no one ever uses on the lower decks. Also, the stabilizers do not seem to work well on this boat, I have been on many cruises and never realized that the boat is moving - You will with this boat. Also, they are doing maintenance (funnovation) so half the lido deck was closed and only one bar was working which meant long waits for that 7 dollar beer.
Our cabin - The cabin was dated but functional. Upon entering the room I went out on the balcony to enjoy the view only to see that the entire roof above us had been ripped off and we got to look at exposed insulation and wires on our wonderful cruise.
Dated. Rusted screws holding paneling up - a CRT Television from 1983 (although my kids had a flat screen in their room). The TV channels were not available for most of the cruise, but you could watch the carnival programming on how to spend more money on board or at Diamonds International.
Oh and like I mentioned above the entire roof of the balcony was ripped off exposing fireproofing and clips and cables.
It was easy to embark and they unload the luggage from your car. Very enjoyable and the parking is only 15 a day.
Beautiful island but there is a lot of walking and Carnival charges a fortune for any drinks (and the cheers program does not work). Mediocre lunch.
We werent in port for long so we just stayed and did some shopping at the local cruise area. Cant really say much about the city.
