We chose this cruise due to our past experiences on this ship (it was our 5th time). Getting to the port and back home again was easy and convenien,t as we live close to Bayonne. The embarkation and disembarkation was smooth, and any lines that we encountered moved quickly. That being said, we did spend a lot of time waiting on lines tendering and in Bermuda.

The ship is aging but is well maintained. It is clean, and maintenance is always being done. Our stateroom was an inside room, not my first choice but it was a very last minute decision. The room décor needs revamping, it seems very dated. But our attendant, BIbin, kept the room neat and clean. Also, some of the cabinets were coming off the hinges, and the wood was chipped in places. Cabin 9191 was quiet for the most part with little hallway traffic. There was some noise to be heard early in the morning, and again around supper time. I think that the room was in front of some type of work area.

We ate in the main dining room for most of our dinners, and a few times for lunch and breakfast. The dinner menus have not changed much in recent years. We did not eat in any specialty restaurants on this trip. On previous cruises, we have eaten in Qsine (menu and concept seem dated to me now), Tuscan Grill (thought is was expensive for what it was), Normandie (love and miss this place) and Bistro on 5 (also gone, sad). The dinner service in the dining room was better than we had experienced in the past. However, the sommeliers seemed overextended and not very attentive. Lunch service was okay, but the food at breakfast was always cold, and the orders not correct. Burgers at the pool were great, and the Oceanview Buffet was fine (love the pizza).

Inside Stateroom 9

Cabin 09

Cabin was quiet and clean. Could use a refreshing. Some of the cabinets did not close correctly and the doors were coming off. The temperature was cool.
