With Vista being the new, cool boat we were expecting more of a grand experience. The ship itself is horrible, terrible layout, hard to get around with no main thoroughfare from front to back of ship.

Many reviews say the employees aren't happy and hate their job. We didn't experience this at all, in fact they were the highlight of our trip. everyone we had contact with was very pleasant. Although we tip extra on every drink, dinner, etc. so maybe that's why. We watched no one tip throughout the entire trip.

We traveled with two young children (2 & 5) and picked the Vista for the camp ocean because they could be together in the same room. My 5 year old loved it, my 2 year old acted like we was putting her in jail and she has experience at home with child care centers so it wasn't a new thing for her. That was a disappointment because my husband and I couldn't enjoy a dinner or casino experience alone. It was very crowded (as expected) so it was overwhelming for her.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Don't book balcony rooms on 6(aft) because you overlook the Havana suite balconies, not the ocean, because of this there was no privacy as people would be walking on deck 5 (Havana) track looking right into our balcony/room.

The room itself was very basic, normal cruise room. We loved the closets and extra storage incorporated in the room, we hated the shower curtain on the tiny, tiny shower. And as all cruise beds, the beds were basically boards.

Our attendant was fantastic.
