One of the few ships that provided the ports-of-call we were seeking. It allowed our family to vacation together with a minimum of stress and we generally were satisfied with our choice. We were gone from the ship for most of the days we were in port, so on board activities were limited to the evenings, but not much of the offerings tempted us to go often or stay late.

A point of disappointment to all of us was the lack of live music available for entertainment. It's probably my age or what passes for dance music today, they did have disc-jockey music all over the place. Is it because it's a less expensive approach, or is that what people want! I hope it's not going to be the new normal.

As a whole, the servers were attentive and courteous and seemed to like their jobs. Dining with the eight of us never seemed to be a problem for the hostess, who was generally able to find a table for us, by the window or out of way of the dinner traffic moving in and out of the MDR. As for the food --- there was no problem changing something that was unacceptable, so that much can be said for it. Although not fans of buffets, several times we opted for the buffet at the Oceanview Café. It seemed that the food was a bit fresher, or maybe it was because the choices were easier to chose from. The burgers and dogs at the Mast Grill weren't too bad for a quick snack.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 1B

Our cabins were one of those in the "bump out" on deck 7. Great space on the verandah. We had three adjoining cabins and were able to open the panels on deck to allow a very nice-sized patio for our family. We enjoyed this very much. The cabin was spacious enough although a bit more thought could have allowed for more storage space. If you go, be sure to take along some extra hooks and maybe some see-through toiletries' bag to hold your essentials.

The cabin was always neat and the attendant very attentive and alert to our needs. All of our cabins were more than adequate for our needs.
