The addition of Newport and Boston to the previously enjoyed Bermuda cruise offered a bonus to refresh the itinerary. Living in Toronto the New Jersey departure port is within reasonable driving distance. We parked at the port ($20/day including tax), so getting on and off the ship was really convenient. Our Oceanview cabin 3036 was ready at 1pm. Seon our reliable and friendly cabin steward promptly took care of any issue we had. He’s one of the best we ever had. Captain Alex and his officers were visible throughout the voyage, joking around about finding Bermuda without GPS.
Elite level breakfast at the Tuscan Grill was a choice of pre-made platters, so we often opted for the wider array at the Oceanview, then enjoy the specialty coffee in the quiet ambience of the Grill chatting with Rati, the pleasant Captain’s Club hostess. The Elite cocktail hour from 5 – 7 pm at the Revelations lounge allowed us to relax and mingle with friendly couples over drinks and canapés.
Server Vladco did a fantastic job showing up with drinks exactly when we were ready (sometime even before that).
Standard Oceanview size. A/C was not working but Seon made a couple of calls and it was fixed. Only occasional noise from the corridor. Decent location between the center and the bow elevators/stairs..
Must tender here - takes a long time with large crowds.
Harpoon brewery tour less than 10 minute walk from the ship.
