Our cabin was excellent. The cruise director was excellent; he was very helpful when we had a problem and sorted it out very quickly to our entire satisfaction. We enjoyed the contrast between busy cities, Belgrade and Bucharest, and their superb architecture and pretty villages set in beautiful countryside. The country churches were astonishing. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to a village school and being entertained by the children as well as looking at the improvements being made as a result of the Emerald initiative to give aid to improve science facilities and also to upgrade the classrooms and the buildings. It was a pleasure to eat in the home of a local family. The food on board was very good was very good and vegetarians were well catered for. Service from the steward was excellent. The evening entertainment was not as varied as our last cruise with Emerald on the Rhine though the local dancers were very entertaining. We were pleased that the cruise director stayed with us for the two days in Bucharest at the end of the cruise ensuring that we had information to enjoy our stay and alsohis support.

We are considering our next cruise with Emerald in 2018.
