Cabin: Signature Superior Verandah Suite

We choose this cruise for the ports and we were not deceived, although you need to be prepared since there is very few sea days. Beautiful areas to visit by sea.

We found that the food was of less quality than our previous HA cruise as well as the ship's activities of which we were deceived (although not a lot of time for them on this specific cruise). As other cruisers we found the coffee to be of variable taste and strength, some days being horrible.

We enjoyed our fixed dinner time with a great service from our butlers.

Cabin Review

Signature Superior Verandah Suite

Cabin SY

Zuiderdam's suite offers a lot of space and storage. Great location in the middle and easy access to the pool and common areas. However, the 8th floor is to avoid due to the noise from the pool areas which could be disturbing early morning and when you are on the balcony.

Port Reviews

Kristiansand

Short time and rainy day so we only did HOp and Off. The Vigiland park is amazing.

Bergen

Great town to explore by yourself. Book the funical in advance it saves time.

Fish market is a great experience.

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

I wanted to see the puffins so we organized a private taxi tour including the castle, the ponies, Jarsholf settlement and a long observation at the lighthouse to admire the puffins colony.

Portree (Isle of Skye)

We booked a tour with Tour Sky and we waited for them a longer time than the other companies, although we have to take into consideration that our ship was delayed.

Beautiful nature to explore and a picture's paradise.

Newcastle (England)

Great city, would like to return.

Public transportation is easy to use. We were able to visit the castle easily since we bought our tickets in advance online, this allowing us time to visit the yatch located outside the city center. Did not make the palace since the queen was there.

Kiel

Went to Lubeck by train easily. Enough time to walk around the medieval part of the town and do some shopping.

Tallinn

Visit of the old town.

Helsinki

Cute city. Did the Hop and Off and a boat tour. Easy to walk around. Try the fish or the salmon soup at the market.

Stockholm

Beautiful city. We were able to do a lot in the one and a half day. Used the Hop and Off since they were included in the Stockhom card, but it is not an efficient way especially if the ship is docked outside the city center. A lot of museums and visits to choose from. The archipel cruise was interesting but the sailing out outbeat it, so you could do more museums if your interest is there and won't miss by not doing it.
