I chose Adventure for the Southern Caribbean route- ABC+St. Maarten. Bonaire seemed to be a rare cruise stop during the summer, so I booked it.
Although the ship is dated, it has all the important things- the Flo Rider, the big slides, and, most importantly- the Arctic Zone (help yourself ice cream by the pool) :-) . The 2 story mini-golf was fun, too. I couldn't get hubby off the slides- I think he cried a little when it closed for the evening.
We were in cabin 7636- a verandah in an excellent location- just a few cabins away from the stairs and elevator, and above the MDR and below the Windjammer. We always start out on a cruise by using the stairs to keep the buffet off our hips; but, then, we head to the elevators on the 2nd day. :-)
Dated, but loved the verandah.
Go on your own around Old San Juan. And have a pina colada!
see the town on your own, rent a car and head to thebeaches
Took a group motorcycle tour not through the ship. Go to Eagle Beach- the low rise area. Laid back and quiet.
Rent a car and see the island. Head to Orient Beach.
Go snorkeling, rent a golf cart and head to the salt flats.
