Wanted to try a larger ship and see Caribbean. However, had not realised that USA schools had broken up. Still it was a large ship and 4800 passengers later as we were told we soon understood it was going to be busy.
We had our dinners in the Chic restaurant, very nice and waiter service reasonably good, as the second day came our coffee was served in a mug! And no tea spoon!! I did mention to the manager that this is a restaurant and not a canteen and asked if he could supply a cup, saucer and and tea spoon, never saw another mug. The third day the food was warm and broccoli cold, ask to replace this and second dinner was also warm. The service was not quite up to standard. The nex day the dinner was far better when they say steak and chips that is all you get and no veg!!. Thank goodness there was pizza shop and windjammer buffet.
Room was very nice with a reasonable balcony, cleaning could have been better as room was vacuumed after the 4 th day. Did notice that the passage way was also grubby and again only vacuumed after a few days, not every day, ( A full ship).
Comfortable and ideal, bed great plenty of storage. No tea or coffee facilities. Shower and toilet average and very clean, room not vacuumed every day
Miles from anywhere, if staying New York sort out your transfers as the yellow cab cabin cost 166 dollars and didn't know the way....
A bit grubby around the back streets beach looked nice
