We sailed on this Celebrity cruise as part of a rewards type trip. We have been on a handful of other cruises, one in particular was a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise 4 years ago, that set the bar pretty high. The ship is really showing its age. Our room was tired and cramped, nothing out of this world. It was nice having a small balcony but it was worn, rusty and dirty. Our stateroom attendant was unfriendly and never around. I once called him because he forgot to leave a breakfast card for me and he actually argued with me that he had indeed left it, which he didn't. The main dining room was "just okay". The big disappointment was paying extra for the French restaurant, Murano. I am a great home chef so I expected to be impressed. I recall having risotto that was supposed to have truffle foam -- it was horrible. There was foam but there was not even the most subtle hint of truffle in it. We got so tired of being harassed about buying drink and dining packages, it was above and beyond irritating. There was one bright spot in the dining room -- one of the wait staff broke out in song and she had the most beautiful voice and spirit. A couple of the waiters started dancing too. It was a neat moment and actually reminded me of the spirit in which the staff on other cruises have presented themselves. We enjoyed our ports of call however but based on this experience, I would not choose Celebrity cruises again.
