This was our second cruise on the Allure. We wanted to have plenty of things for a group of 3 teenagers to do. 2 had never been on a cruise before and they loved it. They are ready to go back now. If you get a chance ask for the best waiter ever--Alphasan in American Icon. He was so good. Helped to really tell you what to order and understand how to make things work. Jayson Li was also amazing as his head waiter.

So much to do and see. Here are my negatives

1. Labadee---only so/so...it was hot. Long lines for food. Excursions are expensive....and sales people were very pushy. Not enough water available---they were always out since it was so hot. They need water bottle fillers for those of us who like to save the earth and still drink cold water. Would not let us fill our water bottles up on board or anywhere---which I understand, but find someway to make this work. Water is so necessary when it is hot. The staff did help us to find a cool tree to sit under and put the 6 chairs up. Water was full of seaweed and not as easy to get around in....part of that is because this is the season for it, but it made the ocean bed feel very much like you are "walking on dead bodies" according to my niece.

Cabin D6

Get rid of tables helps. Too many of them and we ran out of walking space. The room was kept very clean. It was right across from the entrance to the elevators so it helped you get around.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Look into TriRail system for an opportunity to see the town. We were only staying 2 blocks away and we rode it down to Miami and explored. What an adventure.

St. Maarten

Go to Marigot and see what you can see. Great little town. Drive around the entire island and learn about the entire place. It's a fascinating island and we loved it. We had a private tour through JoJunie's and really loved it.

San Juan

Love the gorgeous city which is a combo of New Orleans and San Francisco in coloring and vibrancy. There are so many things to look at. El Morro (sp?) was amazing and a 5 dollar entrance fee per everyone over 15. National Park so if you are a senior have your card with you to get in free.

Labadee

Labadee is hot. Lines for food can be really long. Make a plan before you go since the beach day thing is hard to organize a bit. Beach had a lot of seaweed at this time of year.
