Embarkation

We got a taxi to the cruise dock, unfortunately the address given in our final Oceania cruise documents was wrong, the ship was actually docked in a completely different area 5 or 6 miles away, not a very good start, surely it would not have been too hard to send out emails advising of the change of berth?

Because we had booked a suite we had priority 11am check in and boarding, this went fairly well apart from after checking in we and the other checked in passengers were directed to join a queue which turned out to be another queue to check in lol. All it needed was a few more barriers to separate the checking in passengers from the already checked in passengers boarding the ship.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite

Cabin PH3

This cabin is located starboard aft in a fairly quiet position, there is a crew service door almost opposite but this did not bother us but it might affect some passengers? The cabin is located underneath the Terrace Cafe, there wasn't any noise problem from above apart from when the staff were cleaning up, usually between 9.30 and 10.30PM, this might bother some passengers?

The bathroom is the shower over the bath type with a fixed glass screen going halfway along the bath, the lighting is better than the average. The cabin was very clean and well maintained, we would be happy to stay in this cabin again.

Whist we were on board there was a very major water pipe burst further up the corridor, there was an awful lot of water as the pipe was under high pressure, 4 days later the crew were still drying things out. We were lucky; the flood stopped about 20 feet away from our cabin.
