Went with my mother (81yo) but found some of the distances from ship to shore difficult for her. Was disappointed that water was not supplied to the rooms. It cost $US2.00 per bottle. Wifi had to be purchased and that was about $US178 but connection was excellent.
Staff on board were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Dining was fantastic and waiters were incredible. TV channels extremely limited - there were only 4 english speaking that I found and the channel with TV (ie not news channels) looped the programs so you saw the same programs over and over. Movies cost $US12.00 each so pretty expensive. Pool is small given the number of travellers and deck chair space tight. They claim no reservation on chairs/lounges but this was not enforced.
We had a cabin with balcony which was lovely. Our cabin staff was friendly and he was always cheerful. Our room was always clean, tidy and ready for us no matter when we returned.

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin was roomy enough. We had twin beds, lounge, coffee table, tv, private bathroom which was ok for us (two females). Taller men might find it a bit tight. Shower curtain, not doors but was fine. Plenty of storage both room and bathroom. Balcony had two chairs and a table. Not particularly private as you could see through to the next door balconies.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)
Quaint little place with lots of history. My elderly mum found it too difficult to get up to the church relics etc. Locals weren't terribly friendly.
