A beautiful ship in its looks. The public areas around the ship are fantastic. A ballroom and live band a big draw for those who love to dance. Dance teachers on hand to help you along but very obviously guests return because of this.

A most lucsurious theatre with great acts in the evening. What a treat on sea days with the actor Robert Powell giving talks on the life and works of Charles Dickens and Rudyard Kipling. I wish we could here more from him we thoroughly enjoyed this and enthused us both to revisit the classics. Thank you.

Unfortunately the dinning was a let down. We felt our selected restaurant Brittania could improve in many areas. We found the atmosphere gloomy, noises, rushed. After ordering from an uninspiring choice, it arrived not always hot, very basically arranged on the plate, and wasn't very nice. So we chose to eat in the Lido buffet each night. Here we had a fantastic choice, excellent views out to sea and lovely atmosphere.

Port Reviews

Invergordon (Inverness)

Went independently to Glenmorangie whisky distillery near Tain.

Excellent tour.

If you are interested in the local history, visit the little museum just off the Main Street in Tain and speak to the curator who is so interesting to talk to all the history of the area from Viking times.

Kirkwall

Skara Brae, Standing stones of Sternness, excellent chance to see these ancient remains.

Greenock (Glasgow)

Visited the Kelling grove museum and gallery well worth a visit.

Dublin

Fantastic galleries, helpful public, and a must see is the Guinness tour. What an amazing place.

Liverpool

Went independently to Port Sunlight caught the ferry across the Mersey and a bus to the Lever gallery Whow the best of everything. Paintings, sculptures, fantastic collections of treasures collected from all over the world.

Caught train back into Liverpool and straight to the Walker gallery get off at Lime street for this gallery.

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Had a tour on local bus around the island £7.50 each lasted 2.5 hours. Stopped at all interesting places beaches, points of interest. Great bus driver Billy who went on holiday there 8 years ago and stayed,
