Anthem of the Seas Cruise Review by ASFraydon
- Sail Date: July 2017
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
In terms of dining: you can choose from a traditional dining time (5:30 pm or 8:15 pm) or My Time Dining (flexible dining time) in the main dining room. The 'main dining room' is split up into 4 restaurants: Chic, The Grande, Silk and American Icon Grill. All for restaurants serve the menu but our decorated differently. For example, Chic had a modern design with light colours that really make the restaurant have that open feel.
Moving on to entertainment. The cruise director Dru and his team organised an array of activities for one to take part in on both cruising days and port days, from trivia and dance class. The evening entertainment was always at a high level. From their original production The Gift, the West End production of We Will Rock You, and the technological extravaganza of Spectra. When these shows were not on there was a number of headline acts, from comedians to concerts and more. We were never disappointed!
The service from every member of the crew was incredible. Every single member went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that we were enjoying our cruise. This was particularly notable from our waiting staff. We were on traditional dining (the early sitting) and through the duration of our cruise got to know our waiting staff and in return, they got to know us. By mid cruise, they found out that we enjoyed Filipino food that wasn't present in either the dining room or the Windjammer and so they informed the chef and from that night on alongside our dinner we also had a plate of home-made spring rolls!
Overall, the Anthem of the Seas staff and our cruise experience was amazing! We could fault nothing!

Royal Naval DockyardWe took a Segway tour of mainly the Naval Dockyard but we also ventured out to the glass beach and a little further out. It was a wonderful way to explore the island, we were able to explore more than we would have if we had done a normal bus/coach tour. Our tour guide was very informative and knew a lot about the history of the island. Would highly recommend!View All 36 Royal Naval Dockyard Reviews
Dolphin EncounterSuch an indescribable experience! A little bit of a journey from St Maarten - a short boat ride to neighbouring island Anguilla but so worth the experience! Would highly recommend! We spend about an hour with the dolphin and then another hour or so on the beach enjoying the beautiful weather!View All 25 Dolphin Encounter Reviews
