I always heard Celebrity was one of the better cruise lines but was very disappointed. The ship itself was nice, clean and well-maintained. The food was only average at best. The main dining room food was mass produced and something you might get in a regular cafeteria (Morrison's, Wyatt's, etc). The evening entertainment was good. The captain was great, enjoyed his updates-the ones we could hear.

Complaints-it was very hard to hear any announcements. You had to be in the right place on the ship to hear them. They did limit them, so not too many, but still couldn't hear them. I was running out into the hall to hear them.

Overall communication was very, very poor. I was very confused about the beverage packages, although they were pushing them like crazy the first day) even when I researched it in advance. The standard alcohol package does't get you much (not sure it even included a red wine but not certain-poor communication). The next level is better but still only basic. If you like to drink descent liquor/wine get the premium-and I am cheap but still say that. The soda package is weird too. The base soda package only gets you fountain sodas and not the entire can of soda. It depends on what bar you order it from. Very inconsistent, poor communication.

Room was clean and our steward was super nice. I had asked for ice each afternoon and it was always there. Small thing but appreciate his effort. He was super friendly!
